Bonnie Prince Billy Portland Concert reviews
Waste of money
I’ve seen Bonnie Prince Billy at the House of Blues in Chicago nearly every time over the last 15 years, but This Time Around (Hanson lovers will get that reference) was a disappointment. The falling-apart Chicago Theater was the ultimate garbage venue, with disgusting bathrooms and rickety seats too close to your neighbor. The show itself was boring and not like Hanson shows of the past. The fact that they played maybe 6 songs we knew and mixed those with a ton of new, depressing songs was disappointing. They missed the opportunity to enhance their old music with the Orchestra. The intermission that took place 37 minutes in was bizarre. Our seats were very close and not worth the cost. I won’t make the mistake twice of wasting my money on another awful experience. Save your money, kids, and sit this one out.
